Section 01What “Sale” and “Sharing” Mean
California's privacy laws define these terms broadly — broader than how most people use them in everyday speech.
“Sale” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
“Sharing” means sharing personal information with a third party for “cross-context behavioral advertising” — even if no money changes hands. Examples include letting an advertising platform like Meta or Google use your visit data to retarget you with ads on other websites.
Ardena Consulting does not sell your personal information for money. We do use website analytics and advertising technologies that may share limited online identifiers (such as cookie IDs, device IDs, and IP addresses) with advertising platforms so we can measure marketing performance and reach people who have shown interest in our services. Under California law, that activity may be considered “sharing.” You can opt out of that sharing at any time.
Section 02Your Rights
If you are a California resident (and in most cases, a resident of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas), you have the following rights.
Right to Opt Out
Tell us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. We will honor your request within 15 business days.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not retaliate or discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You will receive the same level of service.
Authorized Agent Rights
You may designate an authorized agent to submit this request on your behalf. We will verify the agent's authority and your identity before responding.
Section 03Two Ways to Opt Out
You can exercise your opt-out right using either method below. Both are valid and we honor them equally.

Section 05What Happens After You Submit
We process every Do Not Sell or Share request the same way, regardless of state:
Within minutes — Confirmation email
You'll receive a confirmation email at the address you provided letting you know we've received your request.
Within 1–3 business days — Identity verification
We may need to verify your identity to make sure we're acting on the right person's request. If we need anything additional from you, we'll reach out to the email address you provided.

We disable the sharing of your identifiers with advertising platforms, remove you from any cross-context behavioral advertising audiences, and send you a written confirmation that the request has been fulfilled.
Permanent — We remember your preference
Your opt-out preference is recorded permanently. We won't accidentally re-share your information later. If you ever want to re-enable sharing (you probably don't), you can email us directly.
